ANNOUNCEMENT


US Club Soccer and the N1 National 1 league have selected the following Central Coast United teams to participate in the upcoming season:


CCU Girls Under 17 South Team

CCU Girls Under 15 South Team

CCU Girls Under 14 South Team


This new competition is the result of bringing together US Club Soccer’s National Premier Leagues and US Youth Soccer’s National League, beginning with the 2026-27 season.


The new league ushers in an era of collaboration in youth soccer that benefits players and families across the country. This league has a direct path to ECRL and ECNL with all teams earning playoffs the opportunity to play against the best in the country at the ECRL and ECNL levels.


Central Coast United SC continues to raise its standards of play and seek out opportunities for our players on the girls and boys side of the club to gain exposure and be challenged. We look forward to competing in the West District 3 (CA-S) conference located in Southern California.


More specific information about the details of the league will be forthcoming in the late summer. Congratulations to our teams and players.

Being admitted into this league demonstrates CCU's commitment to raising our standards and level of competition for both our girls and boys teams. A former U.S. National Team midfielder with professional experience across MLS and Europe, Paul has shaped elite player pathways as Academy Director and Director of Formation for the San Jose Earthquakes and Houston Dynamo. He built nationally recognized programs at Cal Poly and UC Santa Cruz, and holds the prestigious FFF Elite Coaches Formation License alongside his USSF Academy Director credentials. This past week, Paul delivered intensive coach development sessions, personally demonstrating his proven methodology to our coaching staff — using players from both our North and South teams as the live canvas. The result? Sharper coaches, clearer vision, and players experiencing the next evolution in their development. This is more than a visit. It’s a statement. Here’s a Recap on Coach Chris Woods U17 boys at the Redwood City Juventus Showcase Tournament. They played 4 games vs predominantly encl and npl teams giving a good representation of themselves, the club and our community! Day 1 was 0-0 and 2-2 ties. Amazing level of play on both sides, especially goals. On the first game the opposition goalie made numerous incredible saves to keep them in the game. Day2 saw our Mustangs gallop on the charge to a 7-0 win playing fantastic, together and with with purpose + intensity. In their last game they lost 4-3 (after being down 0-3 at half with tired legs). It sounds like Coach Woods gave them a ‘Pep’ pep talk and as they came back strong and finished the tournament out with heads held high after a great weekend! P.S: Space X are reported to be interested in learning the propulsion technique used for the rocket of a free kick! ?? #weareccu #wearethemustangs #wearethecentralcoast

A huge thank you and congratulations to all of graduating seniors from our CCU G04 team (along with several juniors that will be around for another year). Competing in the Las Vegas Player’s Showcase this past weekend as their last official competitions in a CCU kit. The team went 2-1-1, with wins against the Oregon State Champions, the Montana State Champions and two other tough opponents. Ladies, we will miss you as soccer players, but so much more so as the brilliant individuals that you are.
