We caught up with our G2013 DPL and Coach Steve to take in their views of the opening game in Utah this weekend. Did you know Coach Steve has his own Mustang that has come through the CCU Development Pathway? Derby has gone from balling outside of club leading the forward attacking line with the Lady Eagles at AG High to now representing SLO County in collegiate soccer with @cuesta_soccer under the continued Mustang Mentrorship from @profepaige
Proud of the abundance of talent we have on the fields and sidelines with our whole club but especially the deep community roots we have engrained within higher level competition in the local tiers of the soccer community like this!

Our G2012’s balled out Thursday and brought it versus PFA in @dp_league action with their opening game in Provo, Utah. Coach Kelly certainly sounds very proud and satisfied by the teams performance!

Our DPL ladies are on the road down to Thousand Oaks this weekend to take on @oaksfcyouth in @dp_league action!
When on the road pre game and post game nutrition planning is just as, if not more in some cases, crucial to your health and recovery as an athlete.
Here’s a simple example of how players can fuel up:
🌌Night before, try grilled chicken, quinoa, and veggies-keeps energy steady!
🌄Morning of, go for oatmeal with berries and nuts for quick fuel.
🏞️On the way, pack bananas and water-maybe toss in some electrolyte drinks for hydration.
🌅Post-game, hit recovery with chocolate milk or a smoothie-protein and carbs to rebuild fast!
Whether you’re on the road or staying local make sure you’re fueling the body as much of what it needs as you can!
